[DXBase] setting mode won't work

No it does not, the way the ts2000 is programmed is wrong.
First I see the mode is set correctly (f.e. CW) and then the freq is set but
together with the freq the mode is set back to usb. This also happens with
FM on 144 freq. Always FM.
I hope jack resolves this ...
