I don't want to appear picky..but you meant 5 bit code..just 5 data bits.
But I guess its 7.5 if you include 1 start bit and 1.5 stop bits.
But you are correct about the problem...in fact some serial multiport cards
also fail with respect to 45 baud baudot.
