I am experiencing difficulty geting DXBase running with my transceiver
and keying cw. After trading e-mails with Jack, he suggested I post a
message on the reflector and see if anyone can help. Here is my
configuration:
Radio: Icom 775DSP with CT-17 level convertor. Radio address is set to
46H and baud rate is set to 1200 Baud. A cable with a DB9 connection
interfaces with computer and a DB25 connector for the CT-17 end.
Computer: Compaq Deskpro running Win98 Ver2. Four COM Ports. COM1 and
COM2 share IRQ 11. COM4 uses IRQ 3 and COM3 uses IRQ 4. No conflicts
are apparent in Device Manager. I ran a diagnostic software program
which does an internal loopback check and all COM Ports passed. I have
attempted to connect to Radio using each of the four com ports. I have
configured each port to 1200 baud, 8 data bits, and 1 stop bit.
DXBase user options have selected Icom 775 and have rotated through all
COM Ports using default values of one stop bit, 8 bit word length.
If I am overlooking something, I would appreciate any input.
Thanks and Happy New Year
Jim K7EG
