[Dx-qsl] IRC Redemption Process in the US?

I headed down to my trusty post office and went to my trusty clerk to redeem 
some IRC's today. I was also armed with the printed instructions he gave me 
last December on how to redeem IRCs with their system. Turns out their 
system has been upgraded and the process which worked last December does not 
work any more -- the same screens and selections are not there any more. 
And, he could not figure out how to do it in the new system. I walked away 
with the IRCs and a suggestion to "Go to the Main Post Office and talk to a 
supervisor".
Anyone out there have any recent success redeeming IRCs and know what the 
process is at US Post Offices? Like I posted last December what is needed is 
a "Here is what buttons to push on your terminal" set of instructions that 
we can take to clerks.
