[Dx-qsl] W1AW/x LOTW confirmations

As a W1AW/Portable state leader I can guarantee there is 100% LOTW
participation. All operators must log every contact and all logs must be
submitted to the ARRL. Typically logs are sent by the state leaders to the
ARRL HQ within a week and are uploaded by the HQ team there within a day or
two. Personally I have every one of my W1AW/# QSO's confirmed, expect one
that I probably mistook for a completed QSO. I am very surprised by K0UD and
N6PF's experiences. Here are some resources and advice;
1. You can track the progress of the log uploads at;
https://centennial-qso-party.arrl.org/w1aw-portable-qsos.php This is gives
very detailed counts and you can see if any logs have been uploaded, the
total number of qsos uploaded already, and drill into a specific band and
mode. Looking at the Wisconsin, Florida, and Michigan operations cited by
K0UD: the second Wisconsin week is still waiting to be uploaded, their first
week was uploaded some time ago with 44K+ QSOs, Florida was also uploaded
some time ago with 50K+ QSOs and Michigan as well was uploaded some time ago
with 27K+ QSOs.
2. If it looks like the logs have been uploaded but your QSO has not been
confirmed I recommend a couple of things. First check to see that you have
unloaded your side of the QSO to LOTW. I have fielded several dozen inquires
for our state's operation and several of them were not matched in LOTW
because they had forgotten to upload their QSO data. If you have uploaded
your side of the QSO and there is no match then you are in a Not-in-Log
situation which can be caused by any of the usual reasons. The best thing to
do is send an e-mail to the state leader and ask them to investigate the
logs for you. Give them the date, time, band, and mode of the QSO. The list
of leaders can be found at: http://www.arrl.org/centennial-qso-party, click
on item #11 in the table. "W1AW Portable Operations" then use QRZ.com or
other sources to get an e-mail address. I have fielded a couple dozen
inquires and in all but two was able to confirm that one of our operators
had busted the call. I then sent a correction ADI file to the ARRL to upload
into LOTW. It is pretty simple and easy. So, just ask the state leader to
investigate. Again, contact the state leader for this, not ARRL HQ.
Hope this helps.
