[Dx-qsl] How I handle my dxpedition donations

I've just checked, in the past 24 months, I've donated directly to 9 
dxpeditions.
(I'm also a member of INDEXA)
These were dxpeditions which I had unworked or unconfirmed band-mode slots.
Other dxpeditions that I did NOT NEED to work, where not called. To do 
so may deprive some other that needed the qso. I do NOT chase maximum 
'Greenies'.
Of these dxpeditons, I was not always successful in filling any of those 
band-mode slots.
Note: I did NOT ask for my donation to be refunded. Nor would I 
consider doing so.
But in most of them, I was successful in filling 1 or maybe more 
band-mode slots.
In all cases, I had made those donations PRIOR to the dxpedition starting..
Some of these operations had the option of online qsl requests.
In the case they offered online qsl requests, I took advantage of this.
When the dxpedition offered LoTW, I opted for this choice and 'noted' 
that LoTW was sufficient and a hard-card mailed to me was not necessary.
I feel there is no benefit to receiving a qsl card that I will put in a 
box, probably never look at again, as my small shack has no room for 
displaying qsl cards. Save the money, save the time, and it would 
benefit others who needed the 'card'.
I'm retired, on pension but will continue to donate, what I can, when I 
can, following the guidelines I've iterated above.
Maybe some will disagree with my system. But I feel my donation 
decisions are reasonable.
