*I believe most of us share the frustration and complaint about those
Amateurs who are oblivious to the operating techniques of a DXpedition
station operating split frequency.*
*What is going through their minds when they constantly transmit their
callsign after the DXpedition operator replies to another station?**
**If they fail to get into the rhythm cycle so that they */*d*//*o not
transmit when the DXpedition station is transmitting*/*,**they might as
well not get involved in chasing choice DX;
**if they are going to arbitrarily call and call without knowing what is
going on, they are taking up spectrum space and create congestion and
difficulty for others. And I can guarantee they will not work that
choice station. How can they when they are transmitting at the same time
the DXpedition station is transmitting? **Couple that with the
intentional interference that typically rears it's ugly head on the
first and second day of a DXpedition, and we have an unmanageable
situation that is not in the best interests of the Service.*
*
**It is an international problem that needs attention. Complaining and
shaking our heads will not solve or reduce it. Education may but it
needs support from the DX community by addressing it through Elmer'**s,
club meetings, newsletter, Email, web sites, articles and DX bulletins
etc.****Time to do something or it is here to stay. Constructive
comments only. Thanks.
