Robert, HB9BZA, has done a fantastic job of compiling a list of LoTW users. This is apparently the master list used by web clusters and software that highlight LoTW users with cluster spots. Only problem is, some of these people are not current users. Some of them haven't uploaded to LoTW in years. But these highlighted spots do give us a heads up.
I often seek out calls I need during contests and check to see if they are current LoTW users before calling. Heard a guy in TN on 6M during the field day contest. He was listed as a user, yet he hasn't uploaded since 2004, so I didn't call him.
Checking for a station's upload status is easy.
1. Log on to LoTW
2. Click "Find Call" at the top
3. Type in their call
4. Click "Look for call sign
As another poster has already stated, W9DR has not uploaded to LoTW for his home call, nor for another DXpedition he was on.
