GW0GEI: I also am still waiting for EU124 from GW0GEI from the 1998 IOTA
Contest. He makes mention on QRZ.COM that if you are waiting on a qsl card
from me I am really sorry for the delay. I have a large backlog of direct
and buro cards due to the amount of contesting I did in 1997 to 2008 - I
hope to clear the backlog at some point in the future, but I do have heavy
work and family commitments so please be patient. Please do not send any
more qsl cards in the meantime. I need to recover some logs from older
computers and then the plan is to upload all of my previous logs to logbook
of the world.
My QSL is from 1998, yours is from 2002. That is a long wait.
V31YN/P: I have worked him from his land locked QTH but not while he was on
an IOTA. I have not requested a QSL from him so have no info. But he does
have a lot of info at http://www.qslnet.de/member/v31yn/
TE8IP: I worked him on NA116 in the 2007 IOTA Contest. It was a new IOTA for
me and I sent my QSL 3 days after the contest and got his QSL promptly.
YE1A: Worked him at OC021 in the 2001 ARRL SSB DX Contest but did not
request a card. OC021 is not very rare and I already had it confirmed on 7
bands/modes.
GM4V: Not in my log. No info. Make sure it is not GM7V. I have EU010
confirmed by GM7V.
I personally send GS to China. I don't trust that GS will make it to the
addressee.
Hope this helps.
73, K7ACZ

Subject: [Dx-qsl] Old IOTAs
Greetings to all. I am trying to catch up on a few rather old IOTAs. In each
case I have made multiple attempts over the years without success. I would
be pleased to know if anyone has had any luck with these:
GW0GEI  EU-124  06/2002...no long provides an address on QRZ.com. Have sent
via buro several times with no luck.
V31YN/P NA-123  02/2004. Have tried several times via DJ4KW with no
response. Do I have the right info?
TE8IP  NA-116  07/2003. Maybe my card just isn't reaching the destination.
Has anyone received without difficulty.
YE1A OC-242  03/2003. No luck whatsoever. Any suggestions?
GM4V  EU-010  07/2003. Club has apparently shut down and QSL manager is no
longer licensed. Any suggestions of where I could try.
Finally, what is best for QSLs to China? Greenstamps or IRCs?
Many thanks in advance for any leads,
Eli, N6PF
