Sadly and reluctantly I have to agree the operators seem to be
struggling on this expedition. With regard to 160 however, at least
they delivered what was promised. They said they would focus on 160
and they have. Very often it's the other way around: promise 160
focus and then spend practically no time on the band, often giving
up the first time they don't get a massive pile of strong callers.
160 is a band with extremely variable propagation that demands long
hours of operation to give most people a fighting chance at a new
one. The challenge is what makes it so attractive to many of us. At
least two of the ops have extensive 160 DXpedition experience and
are well aware what it takes. They seem to have backed off 160 a
bit now but they made a good run at it. Kudos to these guys for
sticking to their promise.
