Thanks for all the comments guys. I unequivocally state for the record that I believe that 99.99% of managers are upstanding, honorable, honest and HARD WORKING volunteers who do a great job. Case in point. Got my Sae back from OH0XX for card I sent for ZD8O on 160. NIL. Olli not only returned my card but a list of 4 stations that WERE in the log at that time. Above and beyond. My world will not end because of an NIL. It will be one more to work and I KNOW I'm not in that log.
I also want to mention that I've seen it from the other side of the fence, having managed KP2A for a few years (that was work!). When I felt it was getting to be too much with my young family and all, I turned it over to someone else. For the most part, managers are unpaid volunteers. With families, jobs, responsibilities. Oh, They might like to go on the air occasionally, to. Think about losing 10 hours of YOUR spare time (at least) every week. Think you could do it? So thank them. Make sure there's correct postage provided for your return - US postage goes up in 2 days. And maybe send them a little for the "qsl fund".
And don't get me started on qsl buro workers!! :-)
