So I'm watching the queue today and if I read & understand it correctly hams
are uploading anywhere from 20 to 100 more logs per hour than the system is
able to process.
How many LOTW users are there? I thought it was somewhere around 60K?
I know the ARRL 10m contest is just over and I put one small log in the pile
on Saturday and one on Sunday evening so I know I'm part of the problem, but
wow, an overflow of 20 to 100 logs per hour! That's incredible - I wonder
just how many total logs are being uploaded per hour?
I can see why the system ran out of those temporary filenames...
It's great they put up the Queue page, those are some interesting stats, it
would be cool to see how many actual uploads per hour. Being a small pistol
myself I had no clue LOTW sees that much usage.
Considering what that thing has to do - check each and every uploaded QSO
for a match against every other log entry (within a certain plus or minus
time period I'd assume) - I can understand the delays. Good to see new
hardware is on the way.

By the way I got into the Queue status page using my "ARRL" login which in
my case is different from my "LOTW" login...
