As QSL manager, and QSL Bureau manager, I can tell you that
most of non matching misses are:
1. callsign not received correctly (busted call)
2. log or part of the log not available (e.g. lost) 
3. wrong time (summer/winter, inacurate local clock, 
 wrong time entry)
All of the above results in NIL.

And you really think that everybody around the world will be using LOTW like you ??? Don't forget it is an option (bad option in my oppinion) not an obligation ... A lot of ham's even don't have a computer ...
It's a small mind to think that a lOTW credit will satisfy every body ...
In my case I will never use it. But I don't try to make others think like me.
Keep your LOTW for you. I and many others, want to receive a qsl card.
Nothing (for me and many others) will ever substitute a qsl card.
