[Dx-qsl] PSE ADVISE for SWL card

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I like an SWL report to be of use to me as a
DXer. This is what I was taught when I was an SWL and studying for the
old fashioned type of ham radio exam.......
For example if DL1AA works me and tell me I am 30db over S9, I can't
really see the point in him sending
me an SWL card telling me that during our QSO his same receiver and
antenna also heard me at 30db over S9.
It does not make sense. An SWL report should contain some useful
information for the DX station.
When I have been on expedition and come home I have lots of SWL
cards. For example
I have spent an afternoon working Germany and central Europe - everybody
game me 5/9. What is the
point of receiving 10 SWL cards all telling me I'm 5/9 in germany. I
already know that!
What I have received at home recently is some interesting SWL reports
from parts of the world I was not working as that specific time.
Recently I received an SWL report from a New Zealand SWL telling me that
I was a good signal in ZL when i was working a pile of JAs. Now that
is more interesting.
I have also received an SWL report from Japan telling me that he heard
me call CQDX for 15 minutes with no response. Now that too was
interesting - that obviously I was getting out.
Having said all that I do respond to all SWL reports, but find most of
little practical value.
I prefer reports where
The SWL is in a different continent from the one I am working
He/she lists at least three consecutive QSOs (to ensure my call has not
been lifted from the Cluster)
I like a little detail about the SWL setup - receiver / antenna.
Over the time I have received many reports from Andreas and he is one of
the better SWL stations
who appears to be a "real" SWL, rather than another ham, using the same
QSO as an SWL report.
