[Dx-qsl] JT65A & LoTW

There are a number of cases where LOTW is NOT compliant with the current
ADIF standard (www.adif.org). The current spec allows for the following JT
modes:
JT44
JT4A
JT4B
JT4C
JT4D
JT4E
JT4F
JT4G
JT65
JT65A
JT65B
JT65C
JT6M
Bad ARRL!
They also don't allow for the ADIF 2.2.7 award specs that are specific to
LOTW, such as:
LOTW_QSLRDATE
LOTW_QSLSDATE
LOTW_QSL_RCVD
LOTW_QSL_SENT
DXCC
DXCC_MIXED
DXCC_CW
DXCC_PHONE
DXCC_RTTY
CREDIT_SUBMITTED
CREDIT_GRANTED
WAS
VUCC
This is all very bad... very very bad indeed... particularly since they just
completed a major upgrade.
Bad ARRL!

My take on this is that DX4Win recognises several variants of 'JT65', but
LOTW does not. LOTW recognises only 'JT65' as a mode.
HF QSOs are, in fact, 'JT65A' QSOs, and DX4Win will recognise that fact.
So, in TQSL, go to File/Preferences/ADIF Modes, and add a custom ADIF mode
mapping of 'JT65A>JT65'.
That will allow you to export the actual 'JT65A' QSO from within DX4Win into
LOTW, which now 'sees' it as simply a 'JT65" mode QSO and, I think, fix the
problem!
But - I will stand corrected!
