Corliss,
Google or Bing "Visa Services" or "Visa Services in Seattle" and you will
find a number of companies that provide visa services for a fee. I used to
use one down here in Houston when I did a lot of overseas travel but I
cannot remember their name. Incredibly, there is one I found at
www.texastower.net. If you call them, they will be able to explain things
for you. (I have not used them).
Here is some additional info: http://www.samspassport.com/visa/russia.shtml
Also, you might try contacting Andrew Chesnokov UA3AB at
a.chesnokov at dateline.ru or ua3ab at dateline.ru. He might be able to provide
some assistance.

I am trying to find out how to get a Russian visa so that I can travel
to Moscow for WRTC. There is no visa support in Anchorage. The closest
place is the Russian Consulate in Seattle. I have received an
invitation (which was also sent to the consulate in Seattle) from Intel
service Center, I have filled out and signed two visa applications, I
have two passport size photos. I was going to send all of this to the
Russian Consulate in Seattle, but there is conflicting information about
whether they accept mailed applications or will only accept them in person.
