Uh OH this one has caused a problem with the logs. He confirmed three with
me, but the LOTW statement shows it is zone 16 not zone 40 where Franz
Joseph Land actually is. Going and looking at the call in QRZ.com, his
statement there says he left FJZ in 91. He should have used two different
LOTW certificates with the call, and didnt. We are seeing more and more of
this type thing, which negates a good match, at its proper location.
Thankfully, they were all on 20 meters, and I have other stations already
verified on that band, but now (I mistakenly said OK when those boxes showed
up) they are mis-logged and have to go back and change it. If someone is
going to use his LOTW matches, you may not be able to do so, counting it as
FJL.
