Thanks to Paul for sending me an Excel template, and it inspired me to try
something I should have tried in the beginning rather than getting wrapped
up in the importing function.
Simply click on the upper left of the matrix (to the left of the left
parenthesis in the Sort by box), then click all the way at the bottom right
of the matrix, then right-click Copy, select Excel, right-click Paste, and
it pasted almost perfectly. I had to tweak the headings a little, but
nothing major.
Problem solved.

Subject: [Dx-qsl] Importing LOTW award matrix into Excel
What's the best way to import LOTW's DXCC award matrix into Excel? I was
looking at it today and clicked the right mouse button for laughs. There
was an item labeled "Export to Microsoft Excel". Well, it didn't work. I
got a message saying press OK, then edit the query facility then try again.
Well, I did that and it goes back to telling me to press OK, edit the query
facility, etc....typical Microsoft.
Does anybody have a good technique to download this data?
