While I can see Wes, Len and Alan's various points, I have to agree with
Pete on this one.
While I'm looking forward to receiving my first yearbook (only took me 17
years of procrastination to send the first batch of cards in!), I want it to
show me that 'snapshot in times' of the standings. It has a permanence that
web lookups will never have. [And what happens if and when a web server
crashes, and it's discovered too late that the data backup is not
recoverable for one reason or another?]
Keep in mind that without the publication of the standings (in some form) in
QST, should we have them removed from the Yearbook... well, where do they
go? Will we look back years from now and wonder what happened to them?
So, I think the better question might be, how do we find an affordable or
cost effective way to add more articles to next year's Yearbook without
reducing or eliminating the standings?
