Received today - two envelopes from the buruea. Im always of two minds when
I see those in the mail box. Well over 100 cards, but 15 of those were my
own cards coming back. Just love DX stations, who live in a country which
has an excellent bureau, and they dont use them.:
Following all returned due the listed hams are not members- so the cards
come back:
DL7AQD
DL8UKE
DJ21AHC
CT1GPX
CT1OBL
CT1ZU
CT2IRT
OK1ANG
OK1QM
Some of those guys purport to be managers.
Then there is FD6HSI listed as a manager for FG5XC, and 5V7C, and the two
cards returned with a stamp saying " WRONG CALL" whatever that means.
OH2B retuned my card with a note he was not manager for D22B- which I had
found info for after much searching. So still dont know who that was
supposed to go to.
Then you have YY5BDP who returned the card for a contact, and on the back of
my card said "My call YY5BDP, negative YV" HMmm thouht thats what I said.
But he is the one I had the QSO with, and he didnt return his card, after
all.
Lastly a card for 1997 returned from DARC saying DL3FAP is a SK- The only
excusable one of the batch.
This is why I have sent out multiple cards for different stations, on the
same band/modes, over the years. Luckly, since I sent all these, I have
confirmed each and every mode/band involved, with someone else, and dont
need their cards anyway. Many of these were for contacts in 98-99. Dont
know where they have been all this time, as last received all my buro cards
from my sorter, about 3 months ago.
So out of all these cards, I gained 8 new mode/bands, and 12 cards were
requesting MY QSL, and the responses are in my outgoing buro box to mail.
This now leaves me with DXCC Challenge totals of 1418 verified, 1959
received, and 2175 worked. So, still need 216 confirmations. Many of those
have become so old that I will never see them, but still have hopes for the
majority.
