An alternative view:
There are those stations regardless of location, who prefer to do their
own qsling, which is fair enough, as long as they know how good their
local postal service is.
We here, in the UK are fairly fortunate, even though Royal Mail admit
that they 'lose' many MILLIONS of items each year. I suppose last year I
had four or five queries regarding cards which I had not received.
Steve, 9M6DXX would be more than happy to handle his own cards, but he
[or Malaysia Mail] lose, and I use that word carefully, at least 90% of
items addressed to him at a PO Box [of the four items I sent him last
year, only one got through] - and it matters not whether it has a
callsign on the envelope or not, and John 9M6XRO, while his mail
delivery was good is now also 'losing' things, including birthday, and
Christmas cards.
But the point made is generally good - if there is [or suspected to be]
a known problem, then a Manager in a safe haven is the sensible answer.
If someone refuses to accept there is a mail delivery problem, and
doesn't take action, it makes one weep, but we have to draw our own
conclusions.
Try to keep smiling
