Bob:
Not sure if these are what you want, but I found a
closeout at Office Depot for Crane and Co. "executive
envelopes" 3.93 x 7.5 inches or 100x191mm for 1ドル.99
for 25 in "buff" color. They fit fine inside # 10
white or airmail envelopes. Also I was at a college
book store recently (Texas A&M University--Commerce
formerly East Texas State University in Commerce TX
when I graduated from there in 1969)and they were
getting rid of their Eaton Air Mail 3 7/8 x 7 1/2 inch
envelopes for 1ドル.50 for 25.
I had used the Eatons before for years successfully
when I could get them at an Office Max, but Office Max
quit carrying them.
Best deal I ever found was from an advertising mailer
I got at our family office in the early 1990s(I was
the one who always went to the company post office box
so I found all the "goodie" advertising mail) was from
a company called "Business Envelope Company" who was
selling "clearance" boxes of 1,000, yes 1,000 #10
airmails for 10ドル.00 U.S. I got 2 boxes and am still
using the things. I posted it on the Lone Star DX
Association mail group and several members ordered a
box or two from them at that price.
I always look in the clearance bins at office supply
stores like Office Depot and Office Max and others and
many times have found clearance bargains on air mail
envelopes there. Again university bookstores,
particularly those with large contingents of foreign
students seem to put their airmail envelopes and
stationery on sale at the end of each semester.
What's really unusual is that I can find boxes of 500
of regular #10s for less than 5ドル.00, but the #9s that
nest inside are something like 20ドル+ for 500.
