FYI,
Airmail postage for a standard letter is AU1ドル.95 from VK to the US.
To receive Buro cards you need to be a member of the National
organisation, WIA and then have arrangements with you state run 
organisation to send/receive buro cards.
I agree US3ドル is a bit over the top.
