Thanks to all who responded.
The stamps show d and / so they are only collector value.

In theory if they are 'decimal' currency then they are valid
if they
are £sd then not. 
If the amount says P then they are decimal, if they say D
then only
good for a collector
Don't know what values you have but these days it's 50p for
10gm back
to the states.
