Buckmaster has a typo.
>From the ARRL DX Bulletin #10, 20 February 1997:

"QSL INFORMATION. Bill, WT4K, QSL Manager for KG4GC, KG4AU, KG4FD, and
KG4AN, indicates that KG4AA and KG4US are pirates. These calls have not as
yet been issued."
Funny, I remember when "KG4AA" & "KG4US" showed up in a contest (ARRL DX
Phone, if memory serves) a few years ago. Had everyone snookered until the
Saturday night of the contest, when they both showed up on 75 phone drunk
and swearing at everyone, especially each other. Very irritating to find
out they were both pirates, as I needed KG4 on 80/75 at the time (since
worked, thank goodness!)

Just got my envelope back from KG4AN- GUANTANAMO BAY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB,
address given in qrz.com:
GUANTANAMO BAY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB (GARC)
PSC 1005 BOX 73
FPO AE GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA 09593
Marked up , and then a stamp saying no such number.
Now I know there has been an uproar in congress with a few patsies wanting
to close the base down, but didnt expect it quite this soon.
Buck says its esentially same address, but then has QSL manager as WT4AK,
Soooo go look up WT4AK, and of course, there is no such call issued
according to to Buck, QRZ, and the FCC data base. A searching thru Google
shows the call has apparently come up for re-issue.
You would think a base small as Guantanamo would know who their customers
are, and that the data bases would keep up with dropped calls, etc.
Certainly a different army that I was in.
Anyway, I have an old contact on 21 Jan 96 on 40 ssb I need a QSL for, Any
hints out there.
Thanks
Danny
