[Dx-qsl] received today

WOW - the best day ever for QSLs received. I got 6 from the EA7FTR managers
group - and then got an envelope from the W7 buro with 36 cards and only two
of those were initiated by the DX stations, wanting one of mine. All the
others were in response to cards I sent out about a year ago. Many were
incoming from the DL bureau in response to cards sent DL managers.

Lots of nice mode/band fills. Usually, these envelopes contain 3/4 of the
cards as new requests from the common countries such as G, F, JA etc. I
sent out almost 3 pounds of cards a year ago, and another 2-3 pounds 6
months ago, and have another 2 or so pounds ready to ship off now. So, my
sorters are goining to be busy for a couple of years (I hope).
So far I have 2087 worked for DXChallenge, and only 1666 received, so am
looking for another 421. The bug-a-boo is 160 meters, with 108 worked 67
received. Did get a couple with this mailing, though mostly I have followed
up earlier buro cards with direct mailings in past several weeks.
ADVERTISEMENT: It is much easier to keep track of contacts now that I have
gone from paper logbooks, to online logs, and am now
using DXKEEPER , the FREE logbook program from the DXLab program suite. I
have used four different computer program logbooks, and this one is TOPS.
One of my cards back ; TA1MM listed as Pirate for 30 cw. Another one for
YI1BGD (my first YI) saying manager DF3NZ is not a DARC member. Thats
irritating! If you want to be a manager, be willing to use the buro. If
you want to have a manager, be sure he does use the buro - and compensate
him for postage etc.
One sad note: I received three of my cards back from Germany saying the ops
were SK. All three cards were sent, by me, in response to having received
their cards via the buro, earlier. They represented two contacts in 2000
and one in 2002. They are: DL1RMA,
DL4VNC, and DJ1EF.
