To my mind, the ongoing Peter I QSL debate is all about courtesy.
Yes, the final courtesy of a QSO is a QSL.
It's also a courtesy to send a small donation to ops who make 
personal sacrifices far beyond a few $ to put on a rare one. And if 
they just happen to have fun doing it, well God bless 'em.
I also consider it a courtesy not to crap on the manager if I don't 
happen to receive MY envelope before the (usually 'way-early) date I 
want it. Any of you gripers ever actually see what it takes to get 
out 20,000 QSLs?
