I would LOVE to be a QSL manager.... I have volunteered to many a DX
station, but have never heard a word from anywhere.
SO ... I get a bit peeved at people who say good managers are needed and
then never bother to send even a courtesy reply when
someone like me volunteers.
I know what it would be like to be one ... I have put on several
special event stations, such as during the 2002 Winter Olympics, and
know what its like to deal with hundreds or thousands of cards.... I
think it's fun, personally.
Anyhow... if a DX station has not intention of QSLing or doesnt really
want a manager .... then that should be made known.
Dont hide behind lack of a manager as an excuse for not sending a
card. Some of us really need these cards for various purposes...
To count them in totals worked and wait anxiously for nothing is not
what any ham should have done to him or her or do to other hams.
Meanwhile .... my offer is a standing one. If any station needs a
manager .... give me a holler.
