Doug,
This is correct.
Formally the postal clark should give you the stamps equivalent to
postal rate for the country of IRC origin.
In Canada I never submit US originating coupons for exchange into
stamps,
otherwise I may get only 0ドル.89 CAN, instead of 1ドル.49 which is the
rate for the rest of the world.
In Europe most Postal Administrations, have three rates: Domestic,
EU, and the rest of the world.
For exmaple for JA originated coupons they will geive you stamps
for JA, however, if you have PA originating coupon, they may
give you only EU rate equivalent.
Lesson learnt: Use coupons wisely, and exchange them at right time
and at right place.

Subject: [Dx-qsl] ircs agn...
Just got an email from a guy instructing abt how to send for a qsl for
6o0n. Brings up a question that I did not consider b4. Mentioned in the
email from the qsl source for 6o0n is the fact that there are divisions
of ircs per their country of issue. He specifically mentions 3 types of
IRC.
1) Italian
2) European
3) USA/JA
He states that Italian IRC is just good for a reply to Italy. He states
that a EU IRC is good for a reply to EU. He states that USA/JA IRC is
ok for all other places. At least that is the way that the qsl source
for 6o0n views the situation. Please forgive me if I have read
something into this that is not true. Maybe I have read the information
provided incorrectly. Let me know what y'all think pse...text provided
below from orig email...73/dx
The following 6O0N QSL criteria was copied from their
website. Pay attention again to the different values
assigned to IRCs of different country origin.
1 All submissions must include a self-addressed envelope and sufficient
value to cover mailing expenses. 2 Submit only ONE QSL for callsign. 3
Submit QSL requests for THIS DXpedition ONLY. 4 Do not affix to the
return envelope not-Italian stamps All QSL requests not complying with
the above rules will be confirmed via the bureau. 1 IRC covers priority
mail to the country of origin 1 Italian IRC corresponds to 0.60E 1
European IRC corresponds to 0.62E 1 USA or JA IRC corresponds to 0.80E 1
Italian IRC covers reply postage to Italy. 1 European IRC covers reply
postage to Europe. 1 USA or JA IRC covers reply postage to anywhere in
the world
There is no mention of what other countries (i.e. Canada)
IRC are worth.
