Andy!
Sorry, but the 9Q0AR license expired March 28, 2004.
No legal amateur radio operations have taken place in
Congo-Kinshasa after that date, all operations with different
callsigns have been without PTT-authorization.
Unfortunately, Gus, SM5DIC, had been on vacation in Sweden
and when he came back in 2005 he was told that the license
for 9Q0AR had been renewed, but that was wrong, and as
soon as he got the correct information he stopped the activity.
Gus has been in Sweden a couple of weeks now, but was going
back to Congo-Kinshasa yesterday and he has hopes that his
9Q1D callsign will be valid very soon. He will stay there for one
year more.
