[Dx-qsl] Rec'd: A Thank You Note

Shortly after learning that Randal McCloy (the lone surviving miner
from the SAGO disaster in West Virginia), was in fact a licensed Ham
-- KC8VKZ -- I sent a "Get Well QSL" to his PO box address as listed
on QRZ.com. This morning I received a lovely hand-written note from
his family thanking me for the card and sentiments. As much as I love
getting a new one or a new band confirmed, this made my day a heck of
a lot more than any radio confirmation ever could.
Once again, he and his family are in my thoughts tonight. According
to the news I heard this evening, his condition is slowly improving.
Here's hoping....
I wonder how many they've actually received; that may be a new story
all by itself!
