Hi Hutch and group,
After discussing this same situation with ARRL the answer is fairly simple.
My case is that I am in NC now and still sign W9IXX for everything except
contests. I use W9IXX/4 (not W4) for all the contests.
For LOTW if you are signed in as NK0S submit your log as usual.
Go to LOTW and separately register the call NK0S/4 (or /W4 if you use that)
to LOTW using the NK0S certificate. This is fairly simple and is described
on the website. Make sure you indicate you want to tie the NK0S log to the
NK0S/4 log for DXCC.
Once you receive the new certificate for NK0S/4 (or whatever u use) submit the
/4 log OR, if you don't have separate (like me), submit your total log just
as you would for the regular call.
Now no matter which call is trying to be matched it will show up in one of
the two and since the two are tied to each other for DXCC they will count.
Hope this helps.
