I'm going to add some things to Andreas' post as SWL QSL's are one of my
favourite 'hates' <smiles>
It is all very well sending a card, say to me, for 6O0CW who you heard
working M5AAB, but it is far greater 'proof' if you also include 2 or 3
other stations who you heard the 6O working.
After all,you might have 'heard' M5AAB when it should have been M5AAV.
Get the call wrong and it becomes a N-I-L.
As we say 'One Swallow does not make a Summer' - Hi !
I believe that D68C for example insisted on 3 QSO's to be logged by the SWL
Another problem which does occur is that it has been proven, and not
only by myself, that there are 'unscrupulous' listeners out there who
spend most of their 'listening time' watching the cluster, and churning
out 'reports', as they feel fit.
Perhaps one day some of them might realise that the station who creates
the spot, is not always the station who is working the DX at that time.

[ With grateful thanks to the SWL who sent a card to me having done
exactly that, but immediately raised my suspicions by enclosing 10ドル
......I enjoyed the beer. <smiles>]
