[Dx-qsl] Serbian postage rates?

Hi,
I've been having a real devil of a time getting YU1 confirmed on 80M (over
15 different stations over a year). Everybody gets the same thing, SAE and
2 G,ドル no callsigns, professional-looking correspondence, meter stickers on
some, even, but no-go.
Well, I worked another bunch in the ARRL-CW test last weekend and called up
Bill Plum for mint stamps instead of currency. He sent one set and said
that postage prices have tripled over there and they're too expensive to
stock now. What he sent along were six stamps valued at 0,50 Euro each (3
Euros = 3ドル.95 US). Can anybody confirm this is the new letter-rate to the
United States from Serbia and Montenegro? If the above numbers are correct,
it would be the most expensive mail system on the planet, actually
surpassing Germany by almost double.
I'm sure most of these will eventually come back via the buro, but time is
of the essence right now for me since I don't see myself working too many
more new ones on 80 in the next few months.
