[Dx-qsl] Sam & QSL'ing

I had hoped that this wasn't the case... not having had the chance to work
any of the new H4Ø & H44 ops, I hadn't run into this yet.
Out of pure curiousity, does anyone know the particulars as to why Sam has
this odd attitude? And has he always been this way?
As far as the new ops are concerned, well, let's try to be positive and
proactive and encourage them to QSL as much as we can.

Let's hope he does not train the 6O stations to have the same QSL policy as
he did the new operators in H44 and H40! They don't QSL thanks to our
friend Sam! I'm sorry but there is no excuse for that kind of training.
There are so many people who have volunteered to pay for the QSLs and do the
QSL work for these new "operators". Again I say it. No excuse for not
training them all to QSL! In fact I would encourage everyone to work 6O0A
and ask for a QSL, knowing full well you won't get one. Then when Sam says
no QSL. Tell him what a shame that is that these new operators are not
learning the last courtesy of a QSO! I would also not support Sam with
equipment for these new "operators". Thankfully I don't need 6O for an all
time new one.

Danny,
Yes, this is the same operator. I don't know why he won't QSL, but he not
on doesn't, but is quite adamant on the subject. Just hope he isn't also
"training" his students to not QSL.
Oh well, it's his choice, and unlike some of the green stamp collectors out
there, at least he's up front about it.
