AOL versions 6 and 7 does its very best to make it impossible to send
plain text e-mail. When people complained about the problem, they
learned that AOL does not see it as a problem, AOL thinks that the
future of e-mail is HTML and has no intention of correcting it.
There are work-arounds that _may_ work for you. Check this link
http://members.aol.com/adamkb/aol/mailfaq/#aol6html
where you'll find a good explanation of what is going on, and some
suggestions that may help force plain text mail from the AOL craw.
