[Dx-qsl] Virus

Hello from Vienna !
Todays morning I got an email from my email address (???) with an very old
text I have sent 2 years ago to the DX-QSL reflector and its sure that I
don't have this text or email any more on my PC. Normally some viruses take
some random text from the harddisc and use it in the email to which the
virus is attached. But in this case this inpossible. On the other hand I
have scanned my PC yesterday 3 times after receiving emails (about 20 !!)
with a virus to be sure. All its clean and I used the virus definitions from
4. October 2002 with my AVP scanner.
So please be careful, but its sure the email with the virus is not sent out
from my PC. Never a virus (like the I-Worm types) sends itself to the
infected PC. I have never seen this. But I think its enough for this time, I
got about 30 or 40 emails infected in the last 3 days, but they where all
blocked. And I use Netscape email and not Microsoft Outlook which is used
for looking in the address book. I have no Outlook addressbook.
So again, please be careful. I cannot say which virus it was, because I use
programm for reading in times like this (when its "Virus Time") as text file
direct from the server and do not download it with my email program. The
program I use for it is an email notifier named "Magic Mail Monitor Vers.
2.8" and its very useful as i see the name, source and size of the email
before I load it from the server with an email program. All the infected
emails in the last days had a size of about 50 kB or more.
