[Dx-qsl] Cards

Every situation is different.
I for one certainly wouldn't criticize Tom -- or any other DX station for
that matter -- for not wanting to lug home several hundred pounds of cards
all at once like that. (And yes, I know Frosty wasn't doing that!) So it
may not be a question of whether or not the DX wants the cards, they just
may not have the facilities to suddenly handle an influx of cards like that!
Now, what I'd be more interested in knowing is which DX stations and/or
managers are not that interested in collecting cards beyond what they need
for certain operating awards (such as WAS, WAZ, WAE, WAC, DXCC, etc.). I
don't mind supplying the SASE / SAE+IRC/GS to get cards I want, as I do
collect QSL cards. But if a manager or DX isn't going to keep my card, I'd
rather send a computer - generated printout that gives them the basic
information needed to confirm the QSL and save my more expensive full color
photo QSL cards for those who collect them.

How many QSL managers are there that do not want to have a card sent? If iI
were to email you with the information and you check it and it is correct
would you send me a card back via the buro?
The reason I still colect the cards are they are most for me from my trips
and I like the cards.
I am sure some managers do not send them on to who ever operated the
station. I could be wrong but Tom Christian talked about that in Dallas this
past weekend. His manager ask if he wanted the cards. Tom looked at the
large boxes and said I do not think so. It was over several hundred pounds
of cards.
So how about it. If there is no need on your end can I send a Email?
I need the cards.
