Dear Ken!
You only one who say " I answer all SWL cards" and really do that.
Thank you so much! I received about 10 QSL's from you very quickly.
And only QSL from you - 9L1US - I have for 9L land. Have more than 10
9L stations in my log - no answer since 1991!

I agree completely. I began as WPE8EYF, a Popular Electronics issued
call. It taught me much about PATIENCE, and CAREFUL listening. I feel
that I truly benefit from these traits, even now. My buddy Dave Heil was
WPE4???, also an SWL at an early age who developed into a true asset of
the amateur community, and gave THOUSANDS a new one from several DX
QTH's. Yes, using those same tools that he learned...patience, and
listening.
Dave has instructed me to answer all SWL's for his QSL's, and I
personally do the same for my own cards. (I was privledged to receive an
award from a Byelorussian SWL club for my responses to many of their
members' SWL requests. Many of the signers were themselves amateurs.) I
feel this is an EXCELLENT training ground, and encourage Elmer's to rise
to the occasion for the good of the hobby.
Just my thoughts!
