It is not easy to receive Jackys QSL. That's for sure. At least not from
South Africa. But I believe we can't blame Jacky. I sent the first request by
registered mail, but I had no answer after 4 months. So I sent again standard
airmail and after 58 days I got his QSL.
For a portable operation from a different country I sent another request to
Jacky, using a postal courier company, which posts letter outside of South
Africa, but from 254 letters, 151 letters are not answered after two years
now, also the one to 3B8CF not. But from these figures, I am quite sure,
there are postal problems all over the world. When I received today an answer
from Jacky for my 1999 request, he used not my SAE, so I think he had to
spend the postage out of his own pocket. He left the envelope open, so
everybody was able to check, that there is only a piece of paper inside and
nothing valuable. Thanks Jacky for doing the most to make sure your card
reach me. It's my only QSO with 3B8 from that DXCC-country from which I was
operating only for a very short time.
