Bill,
I have a comments field in my log database, and I mark QSO's like this
"slim" or "pirate" or whatever as appropriate -- so that I still have a
record of the QSO even though I know the call was a phony.

Subject: [Dx-qsl] Philosophical logging question?
First off, HNY to all qslerites.
Now taking into mind that US stations are no longer required to keep a
written log;
I still do.
How else will I find those old qso's I never got a card for? ;)
But the other day, even with the extreme suspicion that the YA5T on rtty was
a pirate, I worked it and logged it.
Now that my suspicions were confirmed, should I delete the pirate qso from
the log?
Or seeing as how I DID work someone using that call, should I leave it?
I've marked it as 'invalid' and put Pirate into the note field.
I know this whole question is inconsequential, just curious to know what
other would do.
