[Dx-qsl] Contest QSLs

Lee,
I've been told that some of the DX contest stations automatically send out
QSL's to all QSO's via the bureau. So they may be figuring that when they
get your request, since your card is already enroute, why bother? Not fair,
but it happens -- and I don't like it one bit, either.
For some reason, a good portion of the US stations I've contacted over the
years have been poor QSL responders. For example, one year (back when 73
had their single band SSB contests) I worked 35 states on 160. I could
never get more than 15 confirmed. Very discouraging.

Yes,
I believe the LIST is a great idea, as over the years,I have found a number
of contest stations do not QSL, Yet others seem to QSL every contact via the
Bureau.
