[Antennas] Antenna noise?

Haven't seen much over this reflector lately, so I though I would "stir
the pot".
It seems to be accepted that a loop antenna (certainly a small one
relative to a wavelenght), is less "noisy" than say a dipole or the like.
Does anyone have any insight or references that have studied at what
size (meaning circumference around the loop), does the electrostatic
part of the EMF begin to noticeable decrease and the magnetic part
increase?
It's a serious question aimed at what size from a 1 wavelenght perimeter
downward, does the magnetic portion begin the dominate, to the effect of
minimizing noise, without reducing received signals.
Your thoughtful comments will be appreciated.
