Hey Dick, KA5KKT & fellows/dames of the Ant,
WOW!!! Ur post really resonated with me. I just returned, for repair, an
LDG AT-100ProII, auto tuner. I was never able to get more than 7.3W
output - 100w rig - with SWRs of 1.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every time I tried another freq, and cum back to the previous freq, it
was "better" but even 10W doesnt get far - QRPers forgive pse.
Same thing with my, new also, MFJ 826B SWR/PWR digital meter, viz., never
read the freq the rig was plastered to but move around and it got better.
Dick, ur post gets hung in front of me on the wall! Of course, this is
the MS strategy: work-around, make-up-for poor performance.
