[Antennas] Beveredge made of copperweld

Yes, all my wire antennas, including Beverages are made with copperweld.
Plain copper is too weak to stand up to ice and falling branches here. get
good copperweld, the stuff I use is IMSA Spec 28-3 10ga line wire which is
30% copper and has hdpe insulation... very tough stuff and much more copper
than cheap plated steel. The insulation helps protect the copper and also
means that if a branch or tree comes down and breaks a support the antenna
still works. unfortunately here in the states that wire must be made to
order now as all the manufacturers have stopped normal production, maybe it
is easier to find in other places.

I wonder if someone ever had beverege RX antennas made of copperweld (steel
covered with thin layer of copper). Some modeling software shows that they
are much inferior to antennas made of copper but are such a bevereges still
practical?
