Sorry guys, I guess I should not assume. Radio Works is a business that deals in antennas and accessories
(check it out if you have not <radioworks.com> I have no interest in them). What I mentioned were models
of his isolators. The T-4 is the basic current 1:1 "line islolator" and the T-4G is the grounded version.
You would put the T-4 at the antenna and the T-4G in the shack or at the base of your tower(don't have
one) or at the ground rod, etc.
There is also the B1-5K balun which I have and was told can be used together with the isolator at the
feedpoint. I just could not decide whether to include all three which I have in my parts box. My RG8X
feedline comes directly into the shack so rather than building some jumpers, I figured I would locate the
ICE arrestor in the shack at the huge ground strap going out the window to the station ground rod some 5
feet away.
I always disconnect my station power and antennas when there is any possibility of lightning. My antenna
coax switches (one for rigs, one for antennas are moved to the GND position before I turn off the rig.

| Several years ago I talked to Jim about these isolators and other products but since forgot what he
told
| me.
|| I have a Hustler 4BTV that is going up on my house top with radials. Does anyone know the best choice
for
| feeding this antenna? I planned on putting a T-4 at the antenna but no balun. I have the T-4G also and
| planned on putting that in the shack and connecting the strap to my ground system. I also have the ICE
| arrestor and will fit that into the system but not sure where that will fit into the scheme of things
in
| the shack. Please give me your ideas.
