Called Service Drop cable....it is good to use.....you will need to CRIMP
connections as soldering is not possible to the average Joe Ham (there IS a
way but its not cheap and I donot recommend it)...and make sure all
connections to any dissimilar metal is done correctly and weatherproofed.

We recently had our power lines run underground to resolve some problems.
Left over is a coil of 5/16" stranded aluminum power line, one bare, two
blackinsulated, all three over 100'.
Has anyone attempted to use wire like this for antenna work?
Would enjoy hearing any responses.
