I guess I'm embarassed now :-) ... the dipole measures and phases areobvious to me but what I am unsure about is how to have a strong guyand at the same time, a coax connection that does not corrode or weatheraway. Any stranded steel rope is going to wick water up to the connectorso a crimped connector would be iffy after some time; dissimilar metalswill encourage galvanic action; so I guess this is simply a choice of theleast offensive maintenance style ?? We have been feeding our guy wires as inverted V's for about 49 years now. Many other hams have also. They work good. We don't talk about them because they are so simple!! Are there any caveats on using the guy wires as inverted-V dipoles? If each guy wire had four equally spaced legs, two sets of guy wirescould be configured as two sets of 80m and 40m inverted-V antennas180 degrees out of phase on each band. Has anyone tried this. John _________________________________________________________________ Microsoft brings you a new way to search the web.
