[Antennas] Connectors for LMR-400

I would NOT try to use solder connectors on LMR400 for the fact that its
shield is aluminum foil with braid.....better to use the crimp connectors (I
deal with LMR400 on all my control stations at work..you DON'T want to try
to solder them! No no-no-no-no-no!! Trust me you don't!!!) Someone sells a
fairly low cost crimp tool for it...but I don't have the info in front of me
right now.

Subject: [Antennas] Connectors for LMR-400
Can I use the regular old solder type PL-259 and N connectors on LMR-400
coax or do I need special crimp type which means a major expenditure for
crimping tools?
