Is this thing on? No messages in >2 weeks...
I've got 12 acres, mostly wooded, lots of wire, and not a whole lot of
money... I've got an 80m OCF about 50' in the trees now, which works
reasonably well, but there ought to be a way to get more performance
outa these trees and some more wire. I looked at rhombics, but they may
be more directional than I'd want in a single stationary antenna. Any
ideas on how I can put more wire up and get decent gain without high
directivity? I could easily put up an antenna that's several
wavelengths long at 80m, but most of the stuff I've found on-line i
articles about how to get magic amounts of gain on all bands with small
antennas...
